Here is how the drops work, as best I understand. In America we are eating mostly unsaturated fats, all corn and vegetable oils and Crisco etc...which the liver has to process in order for us to use as energy or fuel which is one of the reasons why we as a nation are storing fat. When someone goes on a calorie reduction or diet they immediately cut their fat and their body looks for fuel to burn to perform the body functions and so they burn the immediately available fats, already processed and available in the blood. Next we burn our brown fats, or the fats that cushion our organs and heels etc.. When those are gone our bodies cut the metabolism to conserve energy and your hunger increases to get you to take in more calories to convert and burn. We never get to the stored, hard to process fats because of the increased hunger and decreased metabolism. The drops are forcing the liver to process and release the stored fats. There are also organ strengthening ingredients in the drops that will help boost your organ strength and health. You are on a 1750 calorie diet right now, with approximately 1000 coming from the released fat and the 750 calories coming from the food you eat so in reality is isn't a very low calorie diet! The released fats also cause you to feel full. Most of the time any desire for brownies etc.. are not a matter of hunger but rather of habits and taste. What is wonderful about the drops and diet is that once you have completed the diet and lock in period your weight set point is different than it is now. For instance, I have several people that I help counsel that gained 4 or 5 pounds during the holidays. They were so excited to call me after all the cookies and junk food was gone and tell me that their weight has just drifted down to that set point again without dieting or worrying much about it. It is a new way of thinking and your children that are concerned will most likely feel reassured when they see you and see for themselves how healthy you look. I can tell you one story that is so instructive and it might help you understand all of this theory. I had two girls that began 2009 with the goal of losing 30 pounds each. They went to the Y 3 or 4 times a week and did an extremely demanding workout together. A month into the workouts they had both lost 6 pounds. One of the girls found the Simmons drops through her sister and she started at the beginning of February, the other girl stayed her course because she thought she might be pregnant. The girl on the drops lost 40 pounds in the next two months and the other girl, still working out, lost 3 pounds in the same time period. The second girl was on the drops as soon as she could and has lost her 30 pounds since. Weight loss is not the simple 'calories in - calories out' formula that we have been taught
